Global satellite operators provide a variety of critical services to their customers including secure communications, high definition television, weather monitoring, and more. The provision of these services requires safe and efficient operations. ExoAnalytic Solutions works directly with operators to dramatically improve operational performance by dedicating sensors and analysts to enable high-fidelity orbit estimates to support a variety of missions, support for antenna calibration, and rapid estimation of spacecraft attitude and orientation to support operations changes or anomaly resolution.
DEDICATED TRACKING FOR PRECISION ORBIT DETERMINATION
Through dedicated satellite tracking of spacecraft using our global network of sensors, ExoAnalytic Solutions helps customers achieve sub-30 meter orbit solutions. These high-precision orbits support numerous missions that rely on precise knowledge of satellite positioning as well as improved safety of flight for satellites operating in dense clusters.
We work with satellite operators to routinely calibrate their antennas. Using data collected by our global network of telescopes we help to remove satellite position error due to antenna range bias as well as calibrate ranging antennas. We support routine and on-demand bias removal services based on operator needs.
SATELLITE ATTITUDE AND ORIENTATION ESTIMATION
A spacecraft’s attitude must typically be stabilized and controlled for a variety of reasons. It is often times needed so that the spacecraft high-gain antenna may be accurately pointed to Earth for communications, so that onboard experiments may accomplish precise pointing for accurate collection and subsequent interpretation of data, so that the heating and cooling effects of sunlight and shadow may be used intelligently for thermal control, and also for guidance: short propulsive maneuvers must be executed in the right direction. ExoAnalytic supports spacecraft attitude estimation in support of routine operations and for anomaly resolution.
